Some Vids

This is my 1st attempt at the long cycle C&J. I welcome any advice. Probably too little knee dip and push with the legs and too much shoulder press. Matt S. Please chime in here.

Arm bar is tough to video because you have to find the groove to feel the lat light up.

Light weight, squeeze your underarm to start the movement. Like crushing a tennis ball. This is not a how to video, it's just me trying to get it right. If you try this use very light weight and find the groove that wakes up the lower lat.

Jon,
The Long Cycle Clean and Jerk (LCCJ) is tough isn't it. Overall, it looks pretty good. Your clean is very strong. I think you are short changing your initial leg drive by going into your second dip too early. Check out this clip http://northcoastkettlebells.blogspot.com/2009/07/28kg-snatch-video.html
It is only one arm jerk, but notice how my heels come off the floor on my initial leg drive. I am almost jumping. Once the bells are launched upward, then get under the weight with your second dip. If you are doing the jerk appropriately, you shouldn't fatigue in the shoulders. You should tire in the legs and maybe the triceps. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. Although the GS and HS LCCJ techniques a slightly different, I think you will find the movement easier if you use your legs more.

Thanks Matt. I felt some soreness in the triceps yesterday and legs this morning. I was specifically trying to keep my heels down based on feedback from some of the RKC2s. May be the dif in HS/GS. I've got to work on the flexibility and maybe slow down in the initial leg bend then explode up more.
